Incumbent assigns and schedules course play and practice range.  Assures golf carts are kept maintained, cleaned, staged in an orderly fashion, and parked and secured at the end of each day.  Assists in pro shop operations.  May assist with group golf instruction.  May give individual golf lessons and instructions if affiliated and in good standing with the PGA.  Provides administrative backup in the Golf Professional’s absence.  Assists in scheduling play and administering City-sponsored tournaments.  Ensures pro shop is kept clean and orderly.  As necessary, directs driving range operations, fills or directs the filling of ball machine or ball bin, picks up balls, baskets, etc.  Helps ensure that ball equipment and pickup equipment are clean; keeps driving range and practice area clean and free of litter.  Assists in preserving order in and around the pro shop and premises.  Shares responsibility for security of shop, locker rooms, and lavatories.  This is a customer service position with potential lead person responsibilities.  Performs other related duties as required.

  The successful applicant will work with the Homeless Engagement and Response Team (HEART) within the Housing and Neighborhood Development Division (HAND).  HEART staff are responsible for implementation of policies and procedures to address homelessness in Salt Lake City. The successful candidate will be expected to assist with community engagement coordination for a State of Utah grant. This work will include coordination with a community service provider, Volunteers of America, with focus on the new Homeless Resource Centers located in SLC. This position will report to the HAND Project and Policy Manager over HEART with some direction from HAND Director and Deputy Directors, and other team members within HAND. This position will assist in preparing reports, coordinating meetings, interfacing with community members, and other duties as assigned. The selected candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills, as well as professional level experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.   The position is funded as a full-time employee for one year.

Please see below for job descriptions for a WasteWater Plant Maintenace Operator I,II,II and a IV.    WW PLANT OPERATOR I: Under close supervision, performs entry-level work in the maintenance of wastewater treatment facilities, equipment and grounds.  In training capacity, serves as helper or assistant for another more skilled worker.   WWPLANT OPERATOR II: Performs semi-skilled to skilled work in the operation, maintenance and repair of wastewater plant buildings and equipment.  Some responsibilities may be performed without direct supervision.   WW PLANT OPERATOR III: Performs journey-level skilled duties required in the operation, maintenance and repair of wastewater plant buildings and equipment.  May serve as a lead worker over training crews, including hourly and apprentice-level plant maintenance operators.   WWW PLANT OPERATOR IV: Journey-level skilled duties required in the operation, maintenance and repair of wastewater plant buildings and equipment.  Reporting to the Field Supervisor or Wastewater Plant Maintenance Coordinator, directs and determines the major maintenance schedules and operational needs of stationary building equipment such as boilers, compressors and large pumps.  Lead person assignments are routinely required of this position.   Job listing will remain open until filled and may close at any time without notice.

Duties include occasional interface with public. Work is primarily outdoors under a variety of weather and environmental conditions, and may involve hiking to reach the job site. Work locations include the Jordan River Parkway and tributary stream corridors, Salt Lake City foothills, and various other locations around the city.
